Today we will be checking out the Yamaha Mio Aerox 155. This is gonna be a full tour and review of the Mio Aerox. We will be showing its different features, lets go ahead and check it out.
The Aerox is a scooter manufactured by Yamaha, it is part of the popular Mio line of automatic scooters. It is known for its striking looks and performance that made it very popular when it first launched. The Yamaha Mio Aerox has a SRP of 102,900 PHP or roughly around 2,125 USD. It is powered by a 155 CC liquid-cooled four stroke single head cam single cylinder engine with variable valve actuation technology. It has 15 horse power and 13.8 Newtons meters of torque. It is paired to a V-belt automatic transmission. Fuel tank capacity is at 4.6 liters and fuel consumption is estimated at 4 km./l.
Getting to Aerox is not difficult at all with most scooters. Anyone with a height of 5'9" and even smaller won't have any difficulty getting on and standing with this bike when stop. The seat height of the Aerox is at 790 mm. When back-riding, the seat height is quite high some passengers may find it difficult to get on and may feel uncomfortable likewise for the rider. The seat is wide which does make it a lot bearable than if the seat is narrow. Foot space on the Aerox may be a bit limited due to the scooters design though it isn't really a problem. The fuel tank is located where you put your feet. To start the Aerox, simply insert the key, turn to the ignition position, hold the brakes and press the starter button.
The Aerox in my opinion is a very striking looking scooter. It easily stands out when on the street compared to other automatic scooters. It is equipped with dual automatic LED low and high beam headlights. The park-lights are multi effect halogens. This particular one has aftermarket red park-light installed. The striking look upfront is cave over to the rear, thanks to the scooter wide body perk. You get LED taillight as standard. The Aerox weights about 116 kgs. It has a wheelbase of 1,350 mm. and a minimum ground clearance of 140 mm. It is equipped with 14 inch wheel with at tire size of 110-80-14 MC in front and 140-70-14 MC in rear. Tubeless tires comes as standard and you get hydraulic single disc brake on both wheels. The Aerox gets a telescopic fork suspension in front and unit swing on the rear. The color combination and the graphics really blend to the scooter sporty looks and characters. On the left handle bar switches, you will have your headlight low and high beam button, turn signals and horn. The Aerox is equipped with a 5.8 inches digital instrument cluster which show your clock, speedometer and fuel level. The trip computer shows your odometer, instantaneous fuel economy, average fuel consumption and battery information.
The underneath storage can be accessed by turning the key to the ignition position and pressing the seat button. It has a capacity of 25 liters, thanks to the location of the fuel tank in the foot well. It is also large enough to store a full face helmet. The fuel tank meanwhile can be accessed by the Fuel button when the key is on the ignition position as well. You have a storage area to the left with a 12V power outlet.
Driving the Aerox is what is expected from a scooter but it's great in many ways. The suspension gives a very good ride, thanks to the upgraded shock absorbers compared to the previous model. Breaking is very good, thanks to the disc brakes on both the front and rear. Acceleration is where the Aerox really shines, you can really feel the engines power and it's great for both city and provincial roads. Handling is very sharp despite of its bulky appearance and heavy weight it is still fell like some smaller scooters like the Honda Beat 110. So thats all for the Yamaha Mio Aerox 155.
